Shammah R. N. Banda

Shammah is an attentive and intelligent 18-year-old girl with an urge to learn and acquire skills in the artistic field. She has worthy communication skills and works well with others. Shammah Ruth Nicole Banda who was born January 23, 2003, also known as Keylar J, is an actress currently residing in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She got enrolled in Eveline High school (2017) and was recognized by TH MOYO, drama director, who made her a supporting actress in the play CYBERBULLYING, having been awarded third place the school made it to the final round where Shammah RN Banda managed to attain a medal for the best-supporting actress, (ISIPHIWO SAMI 2017) she later the featured in a number of Eveline Plays from, 2017 to 2020. One of her most notable plays was SOCIAL MEDIA GHOSTS (2019) as a leading actress she was awarded best actress on four separate occasions (ISIPHIWO SAMI 2019 semi-finals and finals),(HIVE FESTIVAL 2019), ( INTWASA ARTS FESTIVAL 2019). She partook in the 100 girls 100 voices poetry slam in a group of 4, where she was awarded first place (2019) on separate occasions. During the same year she played the role, GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST, in the Charles Dickens play performed by Naughty by nature and Lightwave Choir (Bulawayo Theatre 2019) she managed to partake in the CiTT digital lab class in the year 2020 and acted in one of the films(MISSED PERIOD ) in the Ziyathunqa series (GERALDINE ROCHE 2020). She participated in Intwasa ARTS radio plays, Short films, and gender-based violence talk shows (2020-2021). Recently she was part of an HIV radio play (UMKHATHI THEATRE PRODUCTIONS AIRING OF ZIMBABWE NATIONAL FM)
